Dr. Ramachandra N Galla
Dr Ramachandra N Galla is the Chairman of Amara Raja Group of Companies and has built this group from grassroots levels over the last 30 years. He is an electrical engineer by profession and has acquired Masters degree in System Sciences at Michigan State University USA in 1968. He has worked briefly for US Steel Corporation, Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, USA and later joined Sargent & Lundy in 1971. He has worked in various capacities until 1985 before he turned a full-time entrepreneur and founder of the Amara Raja group of companies.
Born in a modest farmer family in a remote village in Andhra Pradesh, Dr Galla has experimented in a brave approach of establishing advanced manufacturing facilities in rural villages thus creating non- migratory job opportunities for local youth while improving the rural infrastructure.
He has promoted and established many business ventures spanning across automotive components, industrial batteries, power electronics, engineering precision products, food and infrastructure. The group has established state-of-the-art manufacturing infrastructure in the Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh and has employed more than 14,000 people directly with many more indirect employment opportunities being created in rural society. Amara Raja Batteries Limited is the flag ship company of the group with a turnover of Rs. 6059 Crores( 2017-2018)
Dr.Galla's mission statement has always been to transform our increasing spheres of influence and to improve the quality of life by building institutions that provide better access to better opportunities to more people... all the time. True to his mission statement and his interest in social uplift of people, Dr Galla has initiated various CSR activities in the area of education, water conservation and irrigation schemes, social forestry etc.
He has been conferred Honorary Doctorate by Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati in 2007 and later by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad in 2008 and has also received many awards for his entrepreneurial efforts and contribution to the social cause.
Mr. Jayadev Galla
Vice Chairman and Managing Director
Mr Jayadev Galla is the Managing Director of Amara Raja Batteries Limited since August 2003. Under his guidance and leadership, the Company has achieved many milestones, viz., including the crossing of Rs.6000 Crores turnover; expanding footprint in overseas markets especially in the Indian Ocean Rim, etc. He has been very active and providing valuable suggestions to the Company's strategy and growth plans.
Mr Jayadev Galla later assumed charge as the Vice Chairman of the Amara Raja group of Companies from August 1, 2013.
Prior to joining the Company, he served as International Sales Executive, GNB Battery Technologies, Inc., USA (now part of Exide Technologies, Inc., USA)
Mr Jayadev Galla is currently a Member of Parliament, a Member of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), National Council, Young Indian National Governing Council & Core Group, Young Presidents Organisation, Hyderabad Chapter and also an External Member, Board of Management Studies (PG) in Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati. He was also the past Chairman of CII, Andhra Pradesh State Council.
He holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Economics from University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, USA
Mr. Marc D Andraca
Mr Marc D Andraca has most recently been appointed as Vice President, Business Development-Advanced Products. Prior to his new role, Mr Marc was the Vice President for Corporate Strategy at Johnson Controls during its first-year post-merger with Tyco. He drove three lines of work under the CEO and senior management: (1) Building an enterprise-wide portfolio management framework and assessment; (2) developing the strategic review of the "internet of things" and long-term implications in collaboration with Professor M. Porter of the Harvard Business School; (3) Developing the corporate strategic plan to the Board of Directors, integrating and synthesizing business unit strategies and growth plans.
Prior to this role, over his 15-year career with Johnson Controls, Marc has worked in strategy, program management, and business development roles in the buildings and battery business segments. He spent 7 years in Power Solutions, with 2 years based in Singapore starting up the Asia Pacific battery business. During this period he focused on Southeast Asia growth programs and worked extensively with Amara Raja management and field personnel.
Prior to JCI, he worked at Enron Energy Services and in a range of growth-focused management consultancies.
Mr Marc graduated from Dartmouth College in the United States and received an MBA from the University of Michigan. He is a graduate of Johnson Controls' XLP Leadership training program."
Mr. Claudio Morfe
Mr. Claudio Morfe (Mr. Claudio) joined Johnson Controls (JC) in June 2015 as V.P. & General Counsel, Power Solutions Europe & Global OE and was recently appointed as General Counsel for the entire business unit.
Mr. Claudio started his legal career with the New York law firm of Kelly, Drye & Warren in 1988 and was in private practice until 1995 when he joined Nortel Networks. In January 2010, he joined Sweden-based Ericsson, thereafter in 2014 he left Ericsson to become a Senior Counsel (Of Counsel) with Holland & Knight, Boston office.
Mr. Claudio graduated from Loyola University with a BBA in Marketing (Cum Laude) and Tulane University School of Law (Cum Laude). He received a Certificate in Global Compliance & Ethics (Summa Cum Laude) from Widener University School of Law and is admitted in Florida, Massachusetts and New Hampshire. He is a registered In House Counsel with the Wisconsin Bar Association.
Mr. Claudio serves on the boards of Association of Corporate Counsel in Wisconsin and Fisher House Wisconsin. He formerly served on the board of a Turkish public company that was a joint venture partner to Nortel Networks.
Mr. Nagarjun Valluripalli
Mr. Nagarjun Valluripalli holds a Master's degree in Science from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, Rajasthan, India. He is currently the Chairman of Blaze Automation. Blaze Automation specializes in IOT based Consumer Electronics and the products have been launched in global markets.
He served as the Co-founder, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Intelligroup, Inc., from 1993 till 2005. Intelligroup Inc., provided systems integration and IT outsourcing services and employed over 5000 professionals worldwide.
Nagarjun is also a strategic investor in a number of Companies ranging from Food and Beverages (F&B), Software, Business Process Outsourcing to Power and Infrastructure
Mr. N Sri Vishnu Raju
Mr N Sri Vishnu Raju is an Alumnus of the Harvard Business School and has completed the OPM programme. He holds Bachelor's degree in Engineering from Osmania University, Andhra Pradesh, India. He was earlier a Director in Raasi Cements Limited and Raasi Ceramics Limited. He is the Founder and Chairman of Exciga Group.
Mr. T R Narayanaswamy
T R Narayanaswamy is the Co-Founder and Group Managing Director of the Tattva Group, who are headquartered in Chennai, India. He has charted the growth of the Tattva Group and its subsidiaries and divisions. A Post Graduate in Commerce, he is responsible for the formation and growth of the Group.
The Tattva Group currently have businesses in:
- Oil & Gas Engineering, Project Management and Consulting (and) ,
Apart from his business interests, he is an ardent lover of sports. He holds offices in both the Indian Triathlon Federation and Squash Rackets Federation of India.
He is also associated with various community development and Corporate Social Responsibility projects through Down Syndrome Association of Tamilnadu (DSAT).
Mr. Narayanaswami is a member of Young Presidents Organization (YPO) and Young Indians (Yi).
Ms. Bhairavi Jani
Ms Bhairavi is a fourth generation entrepreneur, developmental enthusiast and an avid venture philanthropist. Presently, she is an Executive Director at SCA Group of Companies founded in 1896. After Post-graduation, she started her career with KPMG Consulting in Washington D.C and most of her project work was in the area of supply chain, public services consulting and business process re-engineering. She started her entrepreneur journey in 2001 by setting up a fourth party logistics Company in India called i3pl and exited in 2005 before joining SCA Group of Companies.
She has received honors and awards amongst include, Stree Shakti (Woman Power) person by CNBC Awaaz and featured as a Young Turk by CNBC TV 18.
